Havana, October 2 (RHC)-- Cuban President Raúl Castro held talks Friday with his visiting counterpart from the People's Democratic Republic of Laos Choummaly Sayasone, who is on an official visit to Cuba, aimed at expanding and strengthening friendship and cooperation ties between the two countries.
Prior to his meeting with the Cuban head of state, the distinguished visitor paid tribute to Cuban National Hero José Martí, and was also awarded the José Martí Order –the highest distinction granted by the Cuban Council of State.
