Bogota, October 6 (RHC)-- The Colombian social and political movement Marcha Patriótica (Patriotic March) affirmed that Latin America and the Caribbean will not achieve peace unless the U.S. blockade against Cuba ends.

In a statement issued by the group, Marcha Patriótica says that there will be no harmony in the region as long as the illegitimate wall of sanctions remains in front of the dignity of the Cuban Revolution, its people and organizations.

The group, headed by former senator, lawyer and defender of human rights, Piedad Córdoba, also welcomed the re-establishment of the diplomatic links between Havana and Washington.
