Havana, March 21 (RHC)-- On Monday afternoon, visiting U.S. President Barack Obama attended a business forum with the participation of U.S. and Cuban entrepreneurs to debate the opportunities offered by the Cuban market.

The event, organized by the Cuban Chamber of Commerce (CCC) is part of the activities taking place in Havana on the occasion of President Obama's visit. Also on hand were Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban Minister for Foreign Trade and Investment and Maria Contreras, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Participants in the forum included representatives of cooperatives and the non-state sector, along with entrepreneurs from both countries.

According to Malmierca, more than 20 Cuban companies have identified items that they could import from the US, while several Cuban entities will continue to promote their goods and services that may be attractive to the US market.
