Cubans begin the new year advocating that work, necessarily of greater rigor and efficiency, should clear the way in the midst of acute material shortages, essentially caused by the intensified U.S. blockade.
 
With these premises in this country they remember the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, without overlooking the meditation on the current situation, from which it is necessary to get out, and the government is confident that this will be the case.
 
As the leader Raul Castro pointed out, Cubans will not limit themselves to resist, they intend to get out of the difficulties as they have always done and they will do it, in his words, by fighting.
 
The question asked by many is how to sustain the social justice project when the country lacks access to credit, suffers the rigors of international geopolitical tensions and has not yet left behind the economic backwardness accentuated by the pandemic.  
 
The insufficient generation of foreign currency income, macroeconomic imbalances and the failure to meet food production forecasts are also affecting the country.
 
Two thousand and twenty-three turned out to be a harsh year, with insufficient services, while the government tried to maintain traditional insurance, often at a drop in the bucket and with notable efforts.

As emigration increases, millions of Cubans on the island try to overcome setbacks and seek ways to generate wealth amid austerity.
 
Cubans insist on the imperative of banishing idleness and indolence because many continue to work and appeal to the traditional values of their compatriots to achieve their goals.
 
In that vein, the government presented an economic stabilization plan to be implemented gradually, with a view to productivity, order and efficiency.   
 
In other words, the main purpose of the Cubans in 2024 is to boost the economy, when the plan conceived should contribute to increase the contribution of goods and services, eliminate subsidies to products and concentrate them on socially disadvantaged people, and create new incentives.

With a view to reducing the budget deficit and taking steps in the transformation of the state enterprise, the implementation of new regulations and provisions should be reported soon.In order to assume them, it will be necessary, as the main leaders of the country insist in affirming, to safeguard unity, the axis of the defense of the nation.
