Cuba's medical aid to other nations of the world has always been a target of the United States, which has developed constant discrediting campaigns, pressuring and threatening recipient countries with sanctions to stop it.
As the Caribbean nation has denounced, Washington is committing a crime by attempting to deny or impede health, a fundamental human right.
But the U.S. authorities cannot erase or hide the high level of gratitude and satisfaction of mexicans for the work of Cuban doctors, who have saved countless lives in different latitudes.
The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, echoed this high level of appreciation, highlighting the work of health professionals from the Greater Antilles, who today number more than 3,000 in that country.
The President emphasized that during her visits to health centers, during her travels throughout Mexico, she has seen Cuban doctors working in the most remote areas, with conviction, work and integration with all health personnel.
Her predecessor, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, had already highlighted the commitment of Cuban specialists and expressed his gratitude to Cuba for its help in the ambitious Popular Health Program launched under his mandate.
Professionals from the largest of the Antilles are present wherever they are needed, in areas that are difficult to access and where a specialist has never been before.
The Cuban doctors have expressed that their satisfaction to bring health to the Mexican people with love, affection and a high scientific level.
In addition to the altruism and solidarity that characterize them, it is also a way of thanking Mexico, which has always been at the side of the Cuban people in the most difficult moments.
Cuban health workers have left a deep mark on nations that have responded to natural disasters, health emergencies such as COVID 19, or to help bring medical care to all. And no campaign based on lies can erase that.
