Young Cuban National Ballet dancers will participate at a gala of the 64th Ravello Festival in Italy on August 20th.

Premier dancers, Anette Delgado, Sadaise Arencibia and Dani Hernández and soloist, Bárbara Fabelo, were chosen to represent the magic of Cuban classical dance, considered one of the top styles in the world. The members of the Cuban ballet company established by Alicia, Fernando and Alberto Alonso in 1948 will share the stage with Luis Valle, Javier Rojas, Yelda Leyva and Julio León, who make up the new Cuban dance ensemble Acosta Danza.

The gala titled Cubanía en Ravello is an homage to the Cuban ballet school and also includes the performance of Norwegian National Ballet dancers, Cuba’s Yoel Carreño and Sonia Vinograd, and English National Ballet members, Laurretta Summerscales and Cuba’s Yonah Acosta. The ballet stars are scheduled to dance classics such as Carmen, Giselle, Faune and Don Quixote, as well as the pas de deux of La fille mal gardée, Raymonda, Muñecos, Diana and Actheon, Le Corsaire and Anadromos at the splendid terrace of the Villa Rufolo.

Considered one of the oldest and most important fiestas in Italy, the Ravello Festival on the coast of Amalfi, has hosted excellent symphony orchestras and universal cultural celebrities, such as the London Symphony and the National Symphony of France, as well as filmmakers Abbas Kiarostami and Fernando Meirelles.
