Havana, September 20 (RHC) – Renowned Cuban pianist Frank Fernández will offer a special concert in Havana to mark the 5th anniversary of the reopening of the Martí Theater and to celebrate his 75 birthday, the renowned composer reported on Thursday. Considered by specialized critics as a leading pianist on the island, Fernández will go through his six-decade-long artistic career as a concert player, composer, arranger, producer, cultural promoter, researcher and teacher.
In the show, scheduled for September 28th, Fernandez will be accompanied by the Solo Ensemble Orchestra of Havana, led by Maestro Iván Valiente. As one of Cuba's renowned and beloved musicians, his piano career has been recognized by critics and audiences worldwide, besides his leading role in the development of the piano school in the Caribbean nation.
