Yaima Orozco
Havana, June 11 (RHC)-- Yaima Orozco’s album ‘Mi Libertad’ will be officially released on digital platforms on June 25th.
The new musical production, the artist’s first released under a Cuban label, won the coveted Cubadisco Award 20/21 for Best Trova Music Album.
Born in Cuba in 1980, Yaima is a singer-songwriter and guitarist, one of the most outstanding trova musicians of her generation. His compositions cover genres such as Guajira, Bolero and Habanera, also Tango, Latin American folklore, Bossa-Nova, Rock and Jazz.
She has traveled extensively around the world, delighting her audiences in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium and Switzerland.
Yaima Orozco has shared the stage with Silvio Rodriguez, Teresa Parodi, Liuba Maria Hevia, Here Seca Trio, Manu Chau, Liliana Herrero and Cecilia Todd.
A member of the Association of Writers and Artists (Uneac) and an occasional presenter of the Cuban TV show Entremanos, she is also a member of the organizing committee of the Longina Trova Music festival.
