Marcos Fernández 'El Brujo del Tumbao'

Havana, September 9 (RHC) -- Cuban pianist and composer Marcos Fernández –better known as El Brujo del Tumbao—has just released a music video for the track ‘Coge mi tumbao’, included in his latest album "Presencia".

Born in eastern Santiago de Cuba, Marcos Fernández is also a prolific musical arranger.

He mixes classical music with Afro-Cuban and traditional rhythms. He is currently an instrumentalist and arranger with the group of legendary guitarist, singer and composer Eliades Ochoa.

Under EGREM label, ‘Presencia’ was released in October 2020. Guest artists include sax César López, flutist Rubén Pérez, and singer Giraldo Bravo. The album was nominated to the Cubadisco 2020-2021 Awards in the category of traditional music.
