Cuban Musicians and Bands Nominated to the Latin Grammy Awards

Cuban performers, Descemer Bueno, Eliades Ochoa and Pablo Milanés, and the popular band Gente D Zona, were nominated to the Latin Academy of Recording Art and Science Awards in different categories.

Including Cuba’s Descemer Bueno and Gente D Zona and Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias, the single Bailando was nominated as Best Recording of the Year, Best Song of the Year, Best Urban Performance and Best Urban Song. For their part, musician Eliades Ochoa and his Quartet Patria will compete in the Best Traditional Tropical Album section with the CD El Eliades que soy, produced in Cuba by Bis Music, the Record Label of Artex S.A.

Meanwhile, Cuban singer-songwriter Pablo Milanés and his phonogram Renaciendo, licensed by Universal Music Mexico, are set to compete for Best Singer-Songwriter Album. 
Also in the category of Best Song of the Year the tune Ojos Color del Sol by the Puerto Rican group Calle 13 and Cuba’s singer-songwriter and founder of the New Song Movement, Silvio Rodríguez, will be up for the coveted award. The 15 Latin Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on November 20th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena of Las Vegas, in the United States.
