Orientales surpassed Occidentales by 4-3 in the All-Star Game of the 53rd Cuban Baseball Championship at the Cristóbal Labra stadium in Isla de la Juventud special municipality, and earned the right to represent Cuba in an international tournament to be defined.

Michel Enríquez, José Miguel Fernández and Yuliesky Gourriel stood by Occidentales while Luis Yander La O, Yunior Plumier and Alfredo Despaigne did so for Orientales. Juan Carlos Viera won and lost Leinier Rodríguez, while the star Freddy Asiel Álvarez took the rescue.

With this result, Orientales dominates the historic outcome in these games with 14 hits and 12 losses. At the Fair, Yosvani Peraza dominated the homer competition with 4, closely followed by Dary Bartolomé (3), Alfredo Despaigne (2) and Yasmany Tomás (1).
