Jan 14, -- The Cuban badminton player Osleni Guerrero appears today in 53rd place of world ranking, heading the list in the Americas.
As listed by the International Badminton Federation, Osleni accumulates 26 630 points, one place ahead of American Sattawat Pongnairat with 26 190.
Miguel Diaz, president of the Cuban Federation of the sport, praised Guerrero's career achievements, particularly in the past 2013 Season when he garnered 7 titles.
The current world list is headed by Malay Lee Chong Wei (98,873), Chinese Chen Long (69,665) and the Danish Jan Jorgensen (65 728).
