Havana, December 18 (RHC)-- With the help of Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors today showed a record of 24 wins and five losses to continue with the leading role in the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the United States.

In celebration mode for his all-time record in three-pointers, Curry once again led the Warriors with 30 points in a 111-107 victory over the Boston Celtics to celebrate their third straight win on the East Coast trip and extend their status as the tournament's all-time winners.

Away from his fans, the 33-year-old shooting guard scored five three-pointers, eight two-pointers and nine free throws to maintain his average of 27 points per game, in addition to contributing five rebounds and four assists.

Owner of three NBA rings and All Star, Curry had in Andrew Wiggins his best companion in the win against Boston, who added 27 points and was 55 percent effective from the field (20-11) and 71.4 percent from long range (7-5).

With the victory over the Celtics, Steve Kerr's quintet held off the Phoenix Suns (23-5) and Utah Jazz (20-8), who occupy the second and third spots in the Western Conference, respectively.

Outside the top spots, the Boston Celtics suffered their 15th loss of the season with just 14 wins and are in tenth place in the East, well behind the top-ranked Brooklyn Nets (21-8).

Both teams will return to action this Saturday, with the visiting Warriors facing the Toronto Raptors (13-15) at Scotiabank Arena, while the Celtics will take on the New York Knicks (13-16) at TD Garden.

On the previous day, the Miami Heat also reaffirmed on the court their good pace in the campaign, defeating the Orlando Magic (5-25) 115-105 and consolidating their fifth place in the East.

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Atlanta Hawks 133-115, the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks 116-112, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Utah Jazz 128-126 and the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 110-92.
