Borussia Dortmund to close the gap in German Bundesliga
Havana, January 8 (RHC)-- Borussia Dortmund will try to close the gap with Bayern Munich, leader of the German Bundesliga, today when they face Eintracht Frankfurt in the 18th round of the competition.
Marco Rose's men will be looking for a success that will allow them to get closer to the Bavarians, who lost 1-2 to Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday in the start of the second round of the regular calendar.
For this duel, Dortmund will count on all its attacking power after the return of striker Erling Haaland, who missed several matches due to injury.
On the other side of the match, Frankfurt will try to extend their winning streak to four, which already places them sixth in the overall standings, just two points behind the Champions League places.
The most recent meeting between the two was on August 14, 2021, when Dortmund thrashed Frankfurt 5-2 in the season opener, in a match where Haaland scored twice and provided two assists.
