Havana, February 7 (ACN)-- With 16 points, four rebounds and an assist, Cuban Jasiel Rivero had a great performance in his club Valencia Basket's 94-93 victory over Real Madrid, current leader of the ACB basketball league in Spain.
In the WiZink Center court, in the Spanish capital, Rivero was one of the most outstanding players of his team, along with Klemen Prepelic, who also scored 16 points.
In that duel, the player from Cuba scored seven baskets in nine attempts from close range, for an excellent efficiency of 78 percent; while at the free throw line he made two of his four opportunities, and finished with a rating of 15, the third highest of his team.
Turning to the collective statistics, the winners were better in field goals with 34 baskets in 62 attempts, for a 54.8 %, and the home team had a 47.8 % success rate (33/69).
With this result, Valencia remains in fourth place in the standings with 12 wins and six losses, while Real Madrid (16-4), despite the setback, remains at the top of the tournament, followed by Barca (14-3), reigning champion, and Manresa (13-6), located in third place.
