Havana, October 15 (RHC)-- Cuba appears in group A of the Baseball World Cup 5 Mexico 2022 along with the representations of Japan, Hong Kong, Lithuania, South Africa and Mexico.
According to the schedule of the preliminary phase, the Antillean team will face South Africa and Lithuania on Tuesday, November 8, a day later Hong Kong and Mexico, and finally Japan on the 10th.
In the other key are the teams from France, Kenya, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia and Venezuela.
The first three places in each section will advance to the super round scheduled for November 11 and 12, carrying over their bilateral results. In other words, they will only face the qualifiers from the other zone.
The two best-placed teams in the super round will discuss the crown on November 13, shortly after the third and fourth place teams fight for the bronze medals.
The Cuban pre-selection is training these days at the Havana Sports City, and undoubtedly has the conditions to battle for the medals in the near future.
