Havana, October 31 (JIT) - World bronze medalist Osvel Caballero brought Domadores de Cuba its 15th consecutive victory in professional boxing circuits.
The Pan American champion took the credit by unanimous decision in eight rounds at the expense of local Gerson "Tigre" Escobar, in a super featherweight division bout organized in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes.
It was the third celebration at that level for the Antillean, who finished before the limit in his previous outings and this time disposed of a man who had a record of eight wins, 10 reverses and three draws.
Caballero showed his ability to get the better part of the fight, despite the complications imposed by his opponent, who at times made the actions somewhat "dirty".
He placed effective combinations and once again showed the technique and physical capacity with which he has generated numerous praises in these scenarios.
The outcome came at the end of a month in which the triple world champion Lazaro Alvarez defeated the host Brandom Obledo by technical knockout in five chapters, in the Mexican city of Hermosillo.
