Cuba's Osleni Guerrero fell in his debut at the World Badminton Championship based in Copenhagen, Denmark, until Sunday, August 31st.

Guerrero, ranked 46th in the world rankings, his highest ever position in the list, was overwhelmed by the Japanese Sho Sasaki, seeded 15th in the tough tournament, with markers 13-21 and 15-21, according to the contest website.

Thus, the representative of Cuba could not improve his performance from the previous edition in Guangzhou, China, when he lost in the 1st round against Spain's Pablo Abián with partials of 14-21 and 21-23.

Still, the Havana athlete has 29,330 points, to continue as a major racket in the Americas, ahead of American Sattawat Pongnairat, who with 24,990 units, is ranked 63rd of the universal list.
