Havana, October 12 (RHC) - Cuba announced Thursday the roster of 24 players who will defend its colors in the XIX Pan American Games of Santiago 2023.
The roster includes two catchers, seven infielders, four outfielders and 11 pitchers, under the command of Armando Jhonson, Cuba's manager in the last World Classic, informed the Cuban Baseball Federation.
Cuban baseball aspires to win the title in Santiago 2023, which has eluded it since Rio de Janeiro 2007.

Catchers (2): Andrys Pérez and Andy Cosme.
Infielders (7): Yasniel González, Yadil Mujica, Bárbaro Erisbel Arruebarruena, Luis Vicente Mateo, Dayán García, Roberto Baldoquín and Raúl González.
Outfielders (4): Yurisbel Gracial, Roel Santos, Yoelkis Guibert and Luis González.
Pitchers (11): Carlos Juan Viera, Geonel Gutiérrez, Yoennis Yera, José Ramón Rodríguez, Yankiel Mauris, Renner Rivero, Jonathan Carbó, Naykel Cruz, Raymond Figueredo, Erly Casanova and Frank Abel Álvarez.
