Havana, February 23 (JIT) - Cuban authorities have extended congratulations this February 23 to the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) on the 63rd anniversary of its creation.

From the social network X, President Miguel Díaz-Canel sent an acknowledgement to those who started the institution's path... "On the 63rd anniversary of the founding of Inder, our recognition goes to the founders and all those who have built and sustained over the years the extraordinary prestige of sport in Cuba. The challenge is to recover, strengthen and enhance that history," the president wrote.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau of the PCC and organising secretary of the Party's Central Committee, said: "On the anniversary of INDER, we send a big enbrace to all its workers, to the sporting glories and to all our people, to whom the Revolution has given access to sport as a right. Congratulations!

The president of INDER, Osvaldo Vento, recalled the precursor of this great work, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, when he said: "Sport encourages the people, entertains the people, excites the people and makes the people happy.

Using the hashtag #FidelPorAlways, the entity's top leader stressed the importance of paying tribute in a special way to the historic leader of the Revolution on this 63rd anniversary, as this is part of his legacy.

INDER's institutional account also reads: "From men and women who pay tribute from the grassroots, including our tireless activists, to figures who give us world-class prestige, congratulations to all of you on this 63rd anniversary!

All these messages have generated a large number of responses from the Cuban people, who have also joined in congratulating the sports organisation on its special day.
