Havana, April 9 (JIT) -- Cuban Raidel Martinez scored on Tuesday his fourth save in the Japanese Professional Baseball League 2024, in the 3x1 victory of the Chunichi Dragons over the DeNA All-Stars.

At the Yokohama stadium, the speedy closer from Pinar del Río maintained his effectiveness at the beginning of the season and retired in a row the three batters he faced, one of them with a strikeout. Raidel left his average of clean runs at a perfect 0.00 and took sole leadership of the Central League in saves.

Meanwhile, in another game with Cuban participation, the Nippon Ham Fighters defeated the SoftBank Falcons 4x2 at the Fujisakidai Stadium in Kumamoto, for the Pacific League.

For Nippon Ham, Matanzas starter Ariel Martínez hit a double in three innings, scored on one occasion and was hit by two balls to improve his offensive average to .097.
