Chinese mixed table tennis team
Paris, Jul 30 (PL) China won the title in the mixed doubles table tennis tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with a 4-2 victory over the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
China's Chuqin Wang and Yingsha Sun defeated North Korea's Jong Sik Ri and Kum Yong Kim by 11-6, 7-11, 11-8, 11-5, 7-11 and 11-8 to confirm their status as top favorites for the throne.
South Korea won the bronze medal after defeating Hong Kong 4-0 in the battle for the third place on the podium.
It is worth remembering that in the previous Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020), China won four of the five gold medals in dispute, except for this mixed doubles specialty, in which it finished with the silver medal.
