Boxer Yuan Chang
Paris, Aug 8 (PL) Chinese boxer Yuan Chang defeated Turkey's Hatice Akbas today by unanimous decision on the Roland Garros stadium's ringside and won the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In a bout in the 54-kilogram division, the Asian, runner-up of the Asian Games, showed superiority against a rival who was proclaimed world champion in Istanbul 2022, and opened the golden cabinet of her country in the boxing of this summer event.
The bronze medals in this category went to North Korea's Pang Chol-Mi and South Korea's Im Ae-ji.
