Boxing
The classification boxing system in Rio de Janeiro's Olympic Games will include several new segments and will award 240 out of 250 quotas among men.
The International Boxing Association (AIBA), announced that 17 of these posts will emerge from the ranking of the World Series (WSB) from 2014 to 2015, and 20 for the winner after the APB tournament, also in the coming season.
Another 23 will be officially made during the World Cup in the same season and 115 in continental championships, and in 2016, to finish with an universal cap that grants 39 tickets more.
The information adds that another 26 berths are reserved for the WSB-APB winners, 5 to the host country and as many to be granted by a tripartite commission.
In total, there will be 22 contestants in 49 kilos, 26 in 52 and 81, 28 in 56, 60, 64, 69 and 75 kilos, and 18 berths to 91 and over 91.
Cycling
A dozen foreign and 14 national teams have confirmed their participation at the XXXV Independence of Dominican Republic Cycling Tour from February 20th to 27th next year.
According to the competitive calendar, the tour will have 8 stages covering over 1,000 km. with the corresponding disclosure of tourist and ecological sites of interest.
The 1st stage will depart from the capital's Independence Park to cover 146 km. on the way back and forth from Santo Domingo to San Pedro de Macoris, in the east.
A year ago, the Colombian Edwin Sánchez, from Guadalupe, was the champion of the tournament, which included 10 foreign teams.

Triple Jumper Ibargüen Leads Prensa Latina's Annual Sports Survey
Colombian athlete Caterine Ibargüen leads Prensa Latina's annual sports survey to select the best athletes in 2014, after receiving the support today of four Latin American media outlets. In the category of Sportswoman of the Year, Ibargüen received the support of the Chilean journal Crónica Digital, Bolivian journal Canal Abya Yala and weekly journal La Época and Ecuadorian news agency Andes.
Ibargüen mastered the triple jump along 2014 and won the Diamond League competition in Monaco, with six victories in six presentations.
She also set a new record in Monaco with a 15.31 meter-jump, becoming the fifth best registered in History and the best jump in the last six years.
The Colombian triple jumper , who is at the top of the world ranking, ended the season after winning the 2nd edition of the Continental Cup in Marrakesh, Morocco, with 14,52 meter- jump. The poll's first edition was in 1964.
