Bangkok, January 14 (RHC)-- Opposition protests in Thailand are intensifying in a bid to shut down the government of embattled Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. Thousands of people have flooded major intersections in the capital Bangkok on Monday as part of the ongoing campaign to force Yingluck’s resignation.
Opponents accuse Yingluck of being controlled by her brother, a former prime minister convicted of corruption and now living in self-imposed exile. A snap election has been called for next month but the opposition has vowed a boycott.
