Buenos Aires, June 6 (RHC-Xinhua)-- President Mauricio Macri's political movement has fallen behind in recent polls for the upcoming legislative elections across Argentina, a crucial vote for the conservative president, whose Let's Change coalition does not hold the majority in either chamber of Congress.
Polldata pollster places the ruling Let's Change in second place behind the leftist party Renewal Front in 20 of the 24 municipalities for the upcoming elections on October 22nd.
The latest numbers from polls in the city of Buenos Aires show increasing discontent with Macri's government, as it faces its first legislative election since it took office in December 2015. Former President Cristina Fernandez's Front for Victory coalition holds the lead in the last figures with 36 percent of the votes.
Meanwhile, consulting group Analogias published a study that shows Fernandez herself would hold the lead if she decides to run for public office again.
Fernandez said in a recent interview to C5N that she could be the leftist candidate if the party chooses her to run in the primaries.
One of the polling companies, Isonomia, reported that 85 percent of those asked had not decided yet who they will vote for.
A new report published this week by the Argentine Catholic University says one in 10 Argentine households do not have the necessary resources to feed all its members, which amounts to at least 6 million people.
