Havana, September 2 (RHC) – The airline JetBlue inaugurated in Havana on Friday two new commercial offices. JetBlue was the first US commercial airline to start regular flights to Cuba, in late 2016, after the two countries began a normalization of their bilateral relations.

The opening of JetBlues' two new ticket offices in Havana came on the 1st anniversary of the airlines' maiden flight to Cuba, on  on August 31st of 2016. One of the offices is located in Terminal 3 of the Havana Airport and the other on the iconic incline of La Rampa, in Vedado neighborhood, here in Havana.

JetBlues' President and Chief Executive Officer, Robin Hayes, traveled to Cuba for the occasion.

Six US airlines--JetBlue, American, Delta, United, Southwest and Alaska Air—currently carry out flights to Cuba. But the US government continues to ban its citizens from visiting Cuba as tourists, and those seeking to travel to Havana or other destinations in Cuba have to do so under one of 12 so-called people-to-people categories approved by Washington.
