Washington, November 13 (RHC)-- The U.S. Supreme Court has begun to hear oral arguments on three lawsuits demanding that the Donald Trump administration preserve Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, DACA, the Obama-era program that grants protection from deportation.
The DACA program also grants work permits to at least 700,000 undocumented people brought to the United States as children.
Supports of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals say that if the Supreme Court rules against the program, it will mean that many immigrants will go underground to avoid deportation.
