Washington, November 10 (RHC)-- U.S. President Donald Trump’s favorite TV news channel is casting doubt on allegations of election fraud in favor of now President-elect Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race.

Fox News cut away from a press conference on Monday, during which White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany was accusing Democrats of “welcoming” illegal voting.

“She is charging that the other side is welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting. Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continuing showing you this,” Fox News host Neil Cavuto said on air.  “Maybe they do have something to back that up, but that’s an explosive charge to make that the other side is effectively rigging and cheating.”

Trump has refused to concede defeat and launched lawsuits in the hope of changing the outcome.

“What we are asking for right now is patience as we explore these equal protection claims among others,” McEnany said at the press conference in Washington, DC.  “Is it going to be enough?  We don’t know.  Is it going to take time?  Yes.”

Republicans are mostly avoiding any challenges to Trump over his refusal to prepare for a peaceful transition of power in accordance with the U.S. constitution.

“President Trump is 100 percent within his rights to look into allegations of irregularities and weigh his legal options,” said Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell.  “We have the tools and institutions we need to address any concerns.  The president has every right to look into allegations and request recounts under the law.”

Fox News also enraged Trump by projecting Biden as the winner in the key state of Arizona last week.
Biden’s presidency was announced after he won the crucial state of Pennsylvania, which gave him 20 electoral votes.
