Santiago de Chile, May 28 (PL-RHC)-- A majority of Chileans support President Michelle Bachelet's plan for Constitutional, educational, fiscal and electoral reforms, an opinion poll showed.

A survey conducted by Radio Cooperativa, the Central University and the firm Imaginacción highlights that 66.6 percent of those polled agree on changing the educational model in order to make it more inclusive and free of charge. Only 24.2 percent disagreed with the proposal.

49.4 percent expressed their satisfaction with fiscal reform and 37.8 percent criticized the initiative.

According to poll results, 68.4 percent supports reform of the current binomial system that favors two large parties at the elections and 68.2 percent support the creation of a new Constitution.

These plans were the pillars of Bachelet's electoral campaign last year.

After she came to office last March, the President sent the projects for fiscal reform and changes to the binomial system to Congress, however these face strong rejection from opposition sectors.

The poll also showed that Chileans are in favor of declaring water as a public good, investing $4 billion in health care and creating a fund for medicines for people with chronic diseases.
