G-7 to donate 1 billion vaccine doses to poorer nations, but billions more needed
London, June 11 (RHC)-- U.S. President Joe Biden and other leaders of the G-7 nations are pledging to donate one billion doses of COVID vaccines to poorer countries as part of an effort to end the pandemic by the end of 2022.
The World Health Organization estimates 11 billion doses are needed in order to vaccinate 70% of the world’s population. The Group of 7 is holding its first in-person meeting in two years in Cornwall, England.
