Media giant teleSUR granted Extraordinary Bicentennial Award of Carabobo

Caracas, June 23 (RHC)-- The Caracas-based multi-national media giant teleSUR has been granted the Extraordinary Bicentennial of Carabobo Award for its audiovisual work in relation to the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo.

The award was granted by the qualifying jury of Venezuela's national journalism award, for the "Noticiero de la Batalla de Carabobo" (Carabobo Battle News), which recounts the historical moments before the battle that consecrated the country's independence. 

Upon learning of the award, the president of teleSUR, Patricia Villegas, congratulated the collaborator Lil Rodríguez for her work in the development of the audiovisual product.

The jury of the national journalism award announced that journalist Teresa Maniglia received the Simón Bolívar 2021 Single Journalism Award for her journalistic activity in favor of peace and life.

The newspaper El Siglo of the city of Maracay received the print journalism award for the series "Más allá de la pandemia" (Beyond the Pandemic) on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the newspaper.

Journalist Endrina Yépez received the National TV Journalism Award for the micros "El Buen Ciudadano" broadcast by the private channel Venevisión. 

In radio, the team of "Noticiero Voces del Sur" broadcast by Radio del Sur received the National Radio Journalism Award.
