Brasilia, July 1 (RHC)-- Social movements, along with political parties, parliamentarians and personalities of various trends have presented in Brazil a super request for impeachment against President Jair Bolsonaro, in an act that is part of a campaign to demand the impeachment of the ultra right-wing president.

The lawsuit groups more than one hundred impeachment requests and includes crimes committed by the Brazilian president, most of them during the health emergency generated by COVID-19, which already caused in that country more than 18.5 million contagions and over 500,000 deaths.

The super impeachment request is being registered before the Chamber of Deputies, according to the president of the Workers' Party (PT), Gleisi Hoffman.  The PT federal deputies, Rogério Correia and Bohn Gass, confirmed that the act will be attended by political and social leaders, and will be preceded by a press conference.

The group promoting the super petition plans to include the crime of malfeasance in connection with the overpriced purchase of the Covaxin anticovid vaccine.

According to a complaint filed before the Senate by federal deputy Luis Miranda and his brother, Luis Ricardo Miranda, an official of the Ministry of Health, Bolsonaro knew about this and other irregularities surrounding the acquisition of the immunizer and did not notify the corresponding authorities for investigation.
