Venezuela denounces U.S. and Colombian strategy to justify military aggression

United Nations, October 12 (RHC)-- The Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations, Samuel Moncada, has denounced the intention of the U.S. and Colombia to carry out a military aggression against his country through a false flag operation.

In a letter addressed to the Security Council of the multilateral organization, Moncada warned that constant statements by Colombian President Ivan Duque intend to create such an operation to attack Venezuela militarily.

The Venezuelan ambassador recalled when Duque accused Caracas of "harboring criminals such as insurgents Iván Marques and Romaña" without evidence, suggesting a "declaration by the United States", for which Moncada expressed that it represents a false flag.

Continuing with the claim of basing the aggression against Venezuela, the Colombian-president emphasized that Caracas, besides having a "dictatorship, opens doors and windows to the terrorist guerrilla forces."

The accusations against the South American country and its constitutional authorities are generated when the Government and the oppositions are advancing in the dialogue process in Mexico, which aims at pacifying extremist sectors.

In spite of the recognition by the guarantor countries and the UN itself to Venezuela for its progress in the dialogue, the Colombian president, making use of interfering actions, questions the possibility of political sectors in Caracas settling their differences through consensus.
