Los Angeles, February 1 (RHC)-- In the U.S. state of California, activists and family members of Anthony Lowe Jr., a 36-year-old Black man who used a wheelchair and was fatally shot by Huntington Park police last week, are demanding the officers involved in his death be brought to justice.
Anthony Lowe’s mother spoke at a press conference outside the Huntington Park Police Department, where she said: “They murdered my son.”
Lowe had both of his legs amputated at the knee, and his family says he was suffering from a mental health crisis when he was shot by police after officers responded to a reported stabbing in the area.
