U.S. and South Korea share nuclear plans to achieve 'superiority of overwhelming force'
Washington, April 27 (RHC)-- U.S. President Joe Biden has pledged to deploy nuclear-armed submarines to South Korea and to include officials from Seoul in nuclear planning operations targeting North Korea.
Biden made the pledge Wednesday as the White House hosted South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol for a state visit marking 70 years of the U.S.-South Korean alliance.
South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said: “Our two leaders have decided to significantly strengthen extended deterrence of our two countries against North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats, so that we can achieve peace through the superiority of overwhelming forces, and not a false peace based on the goodwill of the other side.”
