Tehran, May 11 (RHC)-- Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman has condemned Israel's demolition of an EU-funded primary school in the occupied West Bank and the recent Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, describing the regime as a “child-killing monster."
Nasser Kan'ani made the comment in a post on his Twitter account, to which he attached the photos of a Palestinian girl killed earlier by the Israeli regime's airstrikes against the besieged Gaza Strip that left at least 13 Palestinians dead and many others wounded.
“The criminal Zionist regime destroyed the Palestinian children's school yesterday and mercilessly took their precious lives today,” Kan'ani wrote in a tweet. “Israel is the child-killing monster and a recurring nightmare for Palestinian children.”
In the wee hours of Tuesday, at least 13 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and 20 others were injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip. Three high-profile commanders of al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement, as well as their wives and children were among the fatalities in the Gaza carnage.
The barbaric attack came two days after Israeli military forces demolished a donor-funded Palestinian primary school in the central part of the occupied West Bank, in a flagrant violation of Palestinian children’s right to education.
Witnesses and local officials said on Sunday that the Israeli forces raided Beit Ta’mir village, located six kilometers (3.7 miles) southeast of Bethlehem, and bulldozed Challenge 5 School, which was built of makeshift materials and attended by 66 Palestinian students.
