Caracas, August 23 (RHC)-- The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has rejected the document issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR), which seeks to question the actions of the Public Powers, with the aim of attacking the country.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, on his account on the social network X, affirmed that "the IACHR in our region acts as a spokesperson for the U.S. State Department."  

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry qualified the IACHR document as "unfortunate" through a communiqué.  For Caracas, these positions of the IACHR only reissue "the servile wanderings of interests contrary" to the region, which "motivated the withdrawal of Venezuela from this degenerate organization" in 2019.

"The dismal and discredited IACHR lacks the minimum moral to question our Constitution and the rule of law enshrined in it.  The arrogance with which it yearns to disregard the legal decisions made by the courts and competent bodies, is one more sign of its unconscionable subordination to hostile elements that are launched against the Venezuelan people," the statement said.

The IACHR rejected several decisions of the TSJ that, in its opinion, "attack freedom of association," reason for which they call "to protect the civic space" in Venezuela and "guarantee participation in matters of public interest without any type of discrimination."

The claim of the IACHR and the response of Caracas obey two rulings of the TSJ: the first, dated August 4, dismisses the National Directive Committee of the CRV and appoints an "Ad Hoc Restructuring Board" to reorganize it; and the second, dated August 11, orders the creation of an "Ad Hoc Directive Board" to take the reins of the PCV.
