Gaza City, October 12 (RHC)-- Clashes and shelling between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip continue for its fifth day.  So far, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed, while more than 1,200 Israelis have lost their lives.

According to the United Nations (UN) Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, at least more than 263,000 Palestinians were forced to flee their homes amid Israel's aggression.  The UN estimates that more than 175 are sheltered in some 88 schools that have been converted into shelters.

Likewise, electricity, water and fuel cuts continue against citizens residing in the Gaza Strip, undermining the provision of health services.

In this regard, the spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Ashraf Qudera, issued a statement warning that "health services have reached a critical stage, medicines, medical supplies and fuel will run out imminently".

Dr. Qudera stressed that Palestinian hospitals are working at full capacity, so there is no room for the wounded from Israeli airstrikes to be treated.   He said that the lack of supplies constitutes a danger to the lives of the wounded and sick, and holds Israel responsible for those lives, "due to the occupation's depletion of the health system and the weakening of the Ministry's capabilities during the blockade and the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip."

In this context, rescue teams from the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip recovered the bodies of seven members of the al-Bardwell house, which had been bombed by Israeli planes, and pulled 25 other survivors from under the rubble.

The Nasser Hospital, in Khan Yunis, received on this day other victims of an aerial bombardment, in which seven people were killed and others were wounded, although medical sources indicate that due to the seriousness of the injuries, the number of dead may increase.

Palestinian resistance frees Israeli woman and her two children from captivity,   The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas released an Israeli woman and her two children from captivity.

According to images disseminated on social networks, the woman was released and was walking towards a child, they embraced and later, the soldiers moved away from the border fence of the Gaza Strip.

People stand in solidarity with the Palestinian cause
In the midst of the attacks against Palestine, the peoples of the world stand in solidarity with the cause of that Arab nation.

The capitals of Indonesia, Jordan and Lebanon have been the scene of acts of solidarity with Palestine and rejection of the Israeli occupation.

In Latin America, social movements in Colombia, Chile and Brazil demonstrated in rejection of the total siege against Palestine.
