La Paz, September 22 (Xinhua-RHC) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales held a massive rally Sunday in the central city of Cochabamba to win support for his re-election in October.

"I want you to know that my greatest wish is that October 12th will be a winning day," he said told thousands of supporters.

"The big victory will be achieved with the support of the Bolivians who want the transformation to continue with stability and dignity," Morales said.

Morales' re-election looks certain as opinion polls indicate 56 percent of support for him, compared with only 17 percent for his center-right rival Samuel Doria Medina.

Evo Morales, Bolivia's first indigenous president, was first elected in 2005 and re-elected in 2009.
