Caracas, April 3 (RHC)-- A group of social organizations from the United States and Latin America expressed their solidarity with President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan electoral process through a statement from Resumen Latinoamericano's correspondent in Cuba.

The statement highlights that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is the country that has held the largest number of democratic elections in all of Latin America and the Caribbean, whose transparency has not been questioned.  It also denounces the U.S. administration for attempting to delegitimize the electoral process and impose candidates that represent U.S. interests, with the aim of taking over Venezuela and its vast hydrocarbon resources.

He also adds that Washington is not satisfied with the economic blockade, the severe economic sanctions applied against Venezuela, the blocking of its accounts in third countries, the blatant theft of its gold and the constant media aggression.

"Defying all international conventions on respect for the sovereign decisions of States, they seek to impose a president to their own measure and for their own benefit, in order to take over Venezuela and its wealth, annihilate the remarkable social advances of the people, hinder its leadership in the region and in the world, its foreign policy based on respect, multilateralism, solidarity and peace, and turn it once again into one of their colonies", he added.

In the communiqué they called to denounce the assassination attempt against the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on March 25, perpetrated by hired assassins linked to the fascist organization "Vente Venezuela", which has never applied to be registered as a party. From 2023 to the current date, seven conspiracies have been dismantled whose objectives were to attack military installations and attempt against government leaders.

In February, the Venezuelan Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest of 15 people related to the "White Armband" plan, which sought to assassinate President Maduro and other senior leaders of his Government, with the aim of generating chaos and commotion in the country.

"We call on social movements, political and cultural organizations to provide all our support to the Venezuelan electoral process, based on the established agreements that guarantee the normal development of the presidential elections next July 28," adds the statement.

The National Electoral Council (CNE) has reported that 37 political organizations and 13 presidential candidates have registered, complying with the principles of the Bolivarian Constitution and the laws that guarantee the peace and security of the Venezuelan people.

"We send our solidarity to President Nicolás Maduro Moros, reject the attempts of assassination and alteration of the internal order, and offer our strong support to the electoral process in Bolivarian Venezuela," concludes the statement.

The writer and president of Casa de las Americas, Abel Prieto, joined the statement through a post on his X account: "Casa de las Americas joins this statement. All our solidarity with President Nicolas Maduro and with Bolivarian Venezuela. Hands out of Venezuela! Enough of campaigns and Yankee interference!".

The declaration was signed by the Network in Defense of Humanity (RedH) Cuban Chapter, the Americas and Caribbean Regional Office of the Women's International Democratic Federation (FDIM), the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Center (MLKK), the Movimiento Juvenil Martiano (MJM), the Centro Nacional de Educación Sexual (Cenesex), the Comité Internacional Paz, Justicia y Dignidad a los Pueblos (CI) and Casa de las Américas.
