University of Minnesota’s Holocaust Center revokes post for Raz Segal, who called Israel's war on Gaza a texbook case of genocide
Minneapolis, June 18 (RHC)-- The University of Minnesota has announced it will launch a new search for the next director of its Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, after rescinding its offer to noted historian and professor Raz Segal.
The center revoked its job offer to Raz Segal, who is an Israeli Jew, after two members of its advisory board resigned to protest the hiring of Segal, who has called Israel’s war on Gaza “a textbook case of genocide.”
Hundreds of professors have since signed a letter condemning the university’s decision.
