Moscow, July 5 (RHC)-- Venezuela will participate in the next summit of the BRICS group.   On several occasions, Venezuela has stated that its entry into the bloc would generate greater dynamism, with transformations based on principles and values of solidarity, as well as the rejection of imperialism and neocolonialism.

The ambassador of Caracas in Moscow, Jesús Salazar Velásquez, announced that Venezuela received an invitation to participate in the summit of the BRICS group in the Russian city of Kazan, to be held next October.

Salazar expressed: "We have received invitations from the Russian Federation to participate, not only in the Kazan summit in October, we have received invitations to participate in all activities."  The Venezuelan diplomat recalled his country's request to join the multilateral organization and stated that it is not the first time that Caracas participates in a group event.

Likewise, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe, Coromoto Godoy, expressed through the networks: "At the next BRICS summit in Russia, Venezuela will be present in its role as an observer country and candidate for membership."

During the meeting of BRICS+ foreign ministers, held last June in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil stressed that the South American nation is making firm progress to enter the economic and commercial integration mechanism.

At that time, Gil assured: “I said it, we are doing it, we are going to achieve it: Venezuela is going to the Brics (…) The news is fabulous, imagine, Venezuela is already in the BRICS, Venezuela is connected to the new world.  We that we have resisted the sanctions and aggression we are greening. “Venezuela is reborn inside and out.”

The final decision will be made next October at the BRICS presidents' summit that will take place in the city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, in the Russian Federation, the nation that holds the temporary presidency of the multilateral organization.

An accession of Venezuela to the bloc would deepen trade with the members, increasing world oil reserves from 8.7 to 26.2 percent, and in the case of gas it would go from 25.2 to 28.6 percent.

Meanwhile, Venezuela can face the criminal economic blockade imposed by the United States with the formation of the BRICS Bank and access new forms of financing.  The South American country hopes to be able to join the aforementioned platform as a full member this year, at the summit to be held between October 22 and 24 in Kazan, and thereby contribute its natural resources to the countries of the group to promote projects. common for their economic development.

The BRICS group, initially represented by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, expanded this year with the entry of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and Iran.
