Geneva, July 26 (RHC)-- The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territory says Israel continues forcible transfer of Palestinians in the devastated northern part of the Gaza Strip to the south of the besieged territory.

"People continue to cross from northern Gaza southwards," the UN body said in a post on X account on Thursday, adding that trickling flow of humanitarian aid in the northern part of Gaza has been slower than other parts of the Strip amid the continuation of the Israeli regime’s genocidal war.

“The UN and partners are receiving and registering those who cross, providing them with water, food and other supplies, as well as basic health care, medical referrals, critical information and child protection services,” it wrote.

This comes as earlier this month, the UN announced that 250,000 Palestinians in southern Gaza have been affected by Israel's evacuation orders as many people have been fleeing areas in and around the Strip's second largest city of Khan Yunis on foot and by car.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) also said on July 2nd that patients at the European hospital near Khan Yunis are being transferred to nearby medical centers following an Israeli evacuation order covering much of the Gaza Strip’s second-largest city.

In a separate tweet on Thursday, the UN’s agency for Palestinians refugees (UNRWA) also said many Palestinian families are continually forced to move around inside the Gaza Strip, where there is no safe place.

“Children are crying and screaming, everybody is in this horrible position once again. It keeps happening over and over and over,” said UNRWA spokeswoman in Gaza Louise Wateridge.  “They are forced from place to place, promised safety where there is none.”

Israel unleashed a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7th last year, after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas carried out its historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

So far, the Tel Aviv regime has killed more than 39,175 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 90,403 others.  Most of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have fled their homes, with many displaced multiple times.
