Mexico City, October 13 (NNN-RHC) -- Hopes of finding the missing students who disappeared after clashes with police are dim despite reports that the bodies in illegal mass graves are not of those of the young students.
The 43 students were last seen being pushed into police vans after a protest in Guerrero state on September 26th.
Sources say that the shallow mass graves found near the spot where the students went missing were not of the students from the Avotzinapa Teacher Training College, raising hopes that they could still be alive.
But the fact that three weeks later there is no trace of their whereabouts, points to the distinct possibility of not finding them alive, the sources added.
They say there is little evidence to show that the students have been turned over to a drug gang, as some people have alleged.
