Beirut, September 30 (RHC)-- The body of the leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Hassan Nasrallah, was recovered from the site of an Israeli airstrike in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, media reported on Sunday citing medical and security sources.
The body was reportedly "intact," with no direct injuries, and it appeared that the cause of death was blunt force trauma from the force of the explosion. No details have been revealed so far about Nasrallah's funeral.
A video shared by Lebanese media shows the depth of the crater that formed after Friday's Israeli attack south of the Lebanese capital, which cost Nasrallah his life.
Hezbollah confirmed on Saturday the death of Nasrallah along with other leaders of the movement, hours after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced their elimination during an attack on the group's headquarters in the Lebanese capital.
