Beirut, November 2 (RHC)-- The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has carried out fresh retaliatory operations against Israel, targeting several settlements and military positions of the regime.

In a series of statements released on Friday, the resistance group said at least three Israeli settlements including Qiryat Shemona have been targeted by missiles throughout the day.

The fighters also bombed the settlements of Karmiel and Ma’alot Tarshiha with a large rocket barrage.  Hezbollah earlier said it attacked a gathering of Israeli troops in Khiyam north of the occupied territories with missile.

Israel's Jerusalem Post newspaper confirmed that ten soldiers and settlers were wounded after at least 30 rockets were fired toward military bases and settlements in north.

Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with retaliatory operations, targeting the occupied territories.  The Lebanese resistance group says the attacks are in response to Israeli strikes against Lebanese towns, villages and civilians.

Meanwhile, more deaths and destruction took place on Friday as the Israeli regime's air and artillery strikes hit residential areas across the Arab country.  Lebanon’s health ministry says at least ten people have been killed and more than two dozen others injured in the Israeli attacks on Baalbek-Hermel region.  The majority of the casualties were reportedly from the village of Amhaz.

Attacks on southern city of Tyre also continue, leaving a Lebanese killed and another injured.  The health ministry says at least 50 people have lost their lives across Lebanon in Friday’s attacks.

Since October 2023, Israel has killed over 2,800 people in Lebanon. Most of them have lost their lives in the past month amid the intensified airstrikes and a ground offensive.

The Lebanese Resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the regime continues its campaign of genocide in Gaza, which has so far killed more than 43,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
