Mexico City, Nov 1, (RHC), – After focusing on finding the remains or corpses of the Ayotzinapa students for 36 days, authorities now say that the students "may be found alive."

With no apparent evidence of the whereabouts of the 43 disappeared students from the Ayotzinapa teacher’s training college, Mexico’s Interior Minister Miguel Angel Osorio Chong now says, “we think we can find the 43 students alive.”

This comes after federal authorities have, until now, been following a line of investigation that focused on finding the remains or bodies of the youth.

In a radio interview on Radio Formula yesterday, Chong declared, “Since we do not have any evidence to the contrary, today we think we can find the 43, and they can be found alive."

The minister also affirmed that federal and local authorities in the state of Guerrero, where the students were forcibly disappeared by police, have searched over 115 locations including mines, farms, hotels and other “places where we believe they can be.”

The minister’s remarks come as some 2500 students form more than 80 Mexican Universities rallied on Friday demanding that the Mexican authorities find alive the 43 students.

The students rallied in Mexico City to the offices of the Secretary of the Interior, protesting against the Mexican authorities who have not yet found the missing students.
