Tripoli, April 21 (RHC)-- An apparent bomb blast has reportedly gone off across from the Spanish Embassy in the Libyan capital of Tripoli amid the ongoing unrest in the war-ravaged North African country.

No casualties have yet been reported from the late Monday explosion, which comes following a string of attacks by ISIL Takfiri terrorists against foreign nationals, oilfields and diplomatic posts across the country. The blast caused damage to the embassy compound and adjacent buildings.

Although no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion, security sources suspect the ISIL terrorists to be behind the bombing, which came as most countries have shut down their diplomatic missions in the nation and evacuated their diplomats. The Takfiri group carried out similar attacks on the embassies of South Korea and Morocco in Tripoli a few days ago.

The incident took place just a day after the Takfiri group released footage purportedly showing the killing of men described as Ethiopian Christians captured in Libya. The men are seen kneeling on the ground in front of masked terrorists before being beheaded on a beach at an undisclosed location.
