New Delhi, April 27 (RHC)-- India has sent thirteen military aircraft to quake-ravaged Nepal, carrying food, medical supplies and blankets for the victims of the deadly tragedy. The planes are carrying disaster management experts along with medical supplies and other relief material urgently needed following Saturday's deadly quake in Nepal.

Along with two tons of medical supplies and ten tons of blankets and tents, the transport planes are also carrying three army field hospitals. India's National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) has deployed more than 700 disaster relief experts to Nepal's quake-devastated regions.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier on Sunday said the foremost priority should be helping Nepal rescue those entrapped in rubble as a result of the quake.

"Even now many people buried under the rubble must be alive," Modi said during his monthly radio program, adding, "Our effort will be to rescue as many people alive as possible."
